A giant spider was found in Australia recently, and it caught the world’s attention. With almost 30 centimeters in diameter, the big one was considered by many people as “dreadful”, “frightening” among several other dark adjectives…
But members of the Queensland animal sanctuary ‘Barnyard Betty’s Rescue‘, who rescued the animal, swear that she has a docile demeanor, and that she could even be your best friend!
And if you’re wondering what are the chances of finding a spider like this around, keep your eyes open, after all, this type of arachnid can be found in different temperate and tropical regions of the world, such as Africa, Americas, Asia, Australia and some parts of the Mediterranean.

How could a giant spider be our friend? Easy: she doesn’t have an aggressive behavior, and feeds on insects, like cockroaches for example, which is already considered a great advantage for many people!
The giant spider of the Sparassidae family ended up being baptized by conservationists with the sweet name ‘Charlotte’, and then was released into the wild to go on with its normal life.
