* According to Aztec mythology, the Quinametzin Giants inhabited our world during the previous era of the Rain of the Sun.
* They would have built many of the great monuments found in Mesoamerica, such as the ancient citadel of Teotihuacán.
Giants are mentioned all over the world. No matter where we look, almost every ancient culture tells of ancient legends detailing how in the distant past, beings of immense height ruled the lands.
In 1995, in the Mexican municipality of Romita, located in the state of Guanajuato, a professor of plastic arts and sculpture named Tito Serrano found seven skeletons buried in the ancient style of the Otomi and Chichimecas, native cultures of the area.
They were not normal according to their size, for this reason the intervention of experts from the National Institute of Anthropology and History, INAH, said Serrano, who was at the time director of the House of Culture in the previous administration.
It was precisely during the excavations for the construction of the new building of the House of Culture when the workers notified their superiors of the discovery, so the work was suspended while the INAH carried out the investigations. Fortunately, Master Serrano managed to measure the bones, which is why he determined that the seven skeletons were of equal height, they all measured 2 meters and 45 centimeters, and the skull had the shape of a light bulb and with too large eye sockets. The toes were very long and uniform, which caught the attention of the researchers since human feet have a descending definition from largest to smallest, which is why these remains were considered strange.
Unfortunately, it seems that the new authorities of the culture and history of this town were not interested in the finding, since to date no one has inquired about these remains that the INAH has in custody. Many years have passed since this finding and there is no information regarding the giant skeletons found in this town.
There are testimonies from several Spanish conquerors, in which it is narrated that the Aztecs believed that their lands had been inhabited by very tall men and women, but all of them died after a massive war in the region.
Interestingly, if we take a look at the Ríos Codex or Vatican Codex A, the Italian translation of an ancient manuscript written during the Spanish Conquest, giants inhabited Mesoamerica.
According to the representations of the codex, the Aztec warriors came to fight against these giant beings.
It is said that the Quinametzin giants built the ancient citadel of Teotihuacán which translates as ”place where men become gods”, and the Great Pyramid of Cholula, considered the largest pyramid ever built.
It is said that when the Spanish conquistadors arrived in America, they saw real giants of flesh and blood.
